What to expect at a WithKate Tai Chi Class
🌊 What to Expect
We begin with gentle warm-up movements before moving into the Tai Chi practice, ending with a little time to settle and notice how we feel before heading back into our day. Movements are slow, flowing and gentle, with opportunities to pause, adapt and work at your own pace.
No previous experience is needed. You don’t need to be flexible, fit or experienced to join a class.
🌬️ Breathing & Awareness
We bring together movement, breathing and mindful awareness, with time to slow down, notice the body and connect with the natural surroundings.
💚 Your Practice
There is no need to get every movement “right”. Simply listen to your body and enjoy moving, breathing and being present. Rest whenever you need to.
Come as you are, move at a pace that feels right for you, and enjoy the opportunity to slow down, breathe and
connect with yourself and nature.
👣 What to Bring
Wear clothing that allows you to move freely and dress for the weather. Flat footwear is recommended, although some prefer to practise barefoot where appropriate. Bring some water.
🌦️ Being Outdoors
Sessions take place outdoors in nature and we aim to practise in most weather conditions, as long as it is safe to do so. If conditions become unsafe or particularly severe, the session will be cancelled or rearranged.
