🌿 Walking Therapy in Nature

🌱 What is therapy in nature?

Therapy in nature is an approach that moves beyond the traditional therapy room into natural settings. Sessions may include gentle walks, time to reflect, and opportunities to connect with nature in ways that support emotional exploration and personal growth.  It is designed to complement, not replace any medical or psychological care you may be receiving.

⏱ Sessions & Scheduling

Sessions last 50 minutes, and we will agree on the frequency of sessions that best supports your needs.

Sessions will take place outdoors at Victoria Country Park. If weather or other circumstances make it unsuitable or unsafe to meet outdoors, we will reschedule or move the session online where appropriate.

🎒 What to bring / prepare

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, and bring water, sun protection, any medication you may need during the session (such as an inhaler or EpiPen), and anything else that will help you feel comfortable outdoors. The weather can be changeable, so preparing in advance helps us work safely and make the most of our time together.

If you have any health or mobility concerns, we will talk these through together so we can ensure sessions are safe and suitable for you.

🔒 Confidentiality & Safety

What you share in sessions is treated as confidential, except where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others or where disclosure is required by law.

As sessions take place outdoors, complete privacy cannot always be guaranteed in public spaces. We will agree together what feels comfortable to share and remain mindful of our surroundings.

If we happen to meet someone you know during a session, we will discuss in advance how you would like me to respond. I will always aim to protect your privacy and follow the approach we have agreed.

💷 Fees & Cancellation

Sessions are charged at £60 per session, payable in advance.

If you arrive over 15 minutes late, we may not be able to proceed with the session and the full fee will still apply.

If you are unable to attend a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less notice will usually still be charged.

✅ Your Responsibilities

Please aim to arrive on time, dress appropriately for the weather, and follow any safety guidance shared during sessions, including awareness of the outdoor environment.

You are invited to take part at your own pace and within your comfort level, and to let me know about any relevant health concerns that may affect your participation.

You are welcome to slow down, stop or sit at any point if you need to. We will always work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

⚠️ Risks

While every reasonable care is taken, working outdoors naturally involves elements such as uneven ground, changing weather and insects. By choosing to take part in therapy in nature, you recognise and accept that working outdoors involves these inherent aspects.
